The Board of Trustees is comprised of 5 elected members, a staff representative, the Principal and such co-opted members as the Board sees necessary.
The Board has the prime role of governing the school. This involves:
Approving all expenditure, formulating and adopting policies under which the school will be managed, approving the appointment of all permanent teaching staff and monitoring the effectiveness of the service provided by the school.
The Board usually meets the second Monday of the month in terms 1 and 4, and the second Tuesday of the month in terms 2 and 3, parents and caregivers are welcome to attend, but may be asked to leave if the Board has to move into Committee.
David was elected to the Board in June 2016 and took on the role of Treasurer, and later that year he became the Chair. Since joining the Board David has become actively engaged in the education sector. He represents Roseneath School, and chairs the Stewardship Group of the Motu Kairangi Kāhui Ako (our Community of Learning). He is also a member of the Wellington & Wairarapa Regional Executive of the New Zealand School Trustees Association (NZSTA).
He and Debby have three children, two have completed their primary schooling at Roseneath (Xanthe and Peregrine). Allegra is currently in the Long Boat.

Andrew was elected to the Board in June 2013 and currently holds the Property portfolio. He and wife Nicola have 3 children at the school; Harris, Maggie, and George. Andrew is Principal 2nd Violin in the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and is an active chamber musician, playing violin and viola in contemporary ensemble Stroma and many other chamber groups. Pat was first co-opted to the Board and then elected in April 2017. He has taken on the role of Treasurer. Pat and his wife Justine have three children at Roseneath School – Ned, Frank, and Goldie – who all enjoy being part of the strong school community. Kate was elected to the Board in April 2017. Kate and husband Chris Norris have two boys at Roseneath School, Harry in year 7 and Gus year 4. Kate looks forward to being part of the great team that will continue to develop the future direction of Roseneath School. Contact Kate
